XXI Sports launched with four seasoned partners, a clear mission, and no brand standards. We were hired to set the tone and build an online experience that would shape the rest of the visual identity and brand messaging.
After meeting with leadership to discuss their goals and expectations, we studied competitors and athletic brands to develop a feel for what a new generation of athletes would find engaging and familiar, yet different.
We chose bold fonts that signaled strength, a dominating black, white and blue color palette, and cinematic video in the hero area to greet users.
The minimalist modern look and high-impact imagery formed a design that is both engaging and electric.
