THE PROBLEM

Midwest Mechanical is a commercial HVAC company in Lombard, Illinois. They lacked a cohesive multi-channel digital marketing strategy and streamlined ordering process for brand collateral, and were looking for creative ways to grow awareness and revenue.

THE SOLUTION

First, all print and promotional product purchasing were consolidated to deliver a more cost-effective, consistent brand image. This included updates to brand collateral such as business cards and brochures, as well as signage, vehicle graphics, and trade show displays.

Over the years, we developed a deeper relationship with management that led to the closer alignment of business goals to marketing activities. We worked to improve both the lead generation and nurturing processes through a strategic set of best practices.

A Google AdWords campaign was created to uncover the potential of paid search. Blog content planning, authoring, and publishing aimed to increase visibility in organic search results, and an infographic to grow a presence in Google Image search.

Social media accounts were audited, resulting in guidance on how to manage these channels internally and foster employee engagement.

In addition, gamification was implemented in the lead nurturing process in the form of an Operation-style board game. It educates and entertains high-value leads while teaching the benefits of Midwest Mechanical’s HVAC services in an irresistibly fun way.

THE RESULTS

In 2017, Midwest Mechanical broke all previous annual sales records. Visibility in both paid and organic search have improved significantly, and a measurable stream of qualified leads has been developed in just two years.
